Job Title: Trustee Chair

For years, Age UK Norwich has championed the causes of older people in our city, providing the practical information, advice and support to help as many people as possible love later life. Now, we are seeking a new Chair who will work alongside our Chief Executive and his team and a dynamic board of Trustees to lead and guide our organisation through the next stage of its development.

Age UK Norwich is a well-established charity which has earned and sustained high regard for the effectiveness of its operations and the positive difference they make to the lives of older people in our city.

Through a tough funding climate for charities, we work hard to secure and sustain the mixed stream of funding that can provide the financial base necessary to meet our strategic objectives and develop our offer to older people in the city.
Now our Chair is retiring from the post after seven, very successful years and we seek a new person to take on the role.

So, if you have a passion to make a positive difference to the lives of older people, and would welcome the opportunity to do using skills and experience developed through a career that has seen you lead or manage organisations, do get in touch we’d love to hear from you.

You will need to evidence a good understanding of governance, strategy, finance and organisational development. Experience in the voluntary sector would be ideal but not essential, however we will look for a good understanding of the issues that currently influence or affect voluntary services.

The post is unremunerated but reasonable expenses will be paid.
